At the Democratic National Convention, Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock brought our Christian faith center stage and reminded the millions of people watching his speech to love our neighbors.
He reminded us of scripture too often forgotten; that we are to love God and our brethren here on earth, whether they are weak or strong, poor or rich, old or young, faithful or unfaithful.
It is not up to us to decide who to love and show God’s grace to.
“Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:39)
“Inasmuch as you've done unto the least of these, you have done it also unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)
We’re called by God to love our neighbor because we are all God’s children. His wishes couldn’t be clearer.
Now, it’s time for us to follow through. Our actions are our witness and our vote is our prayer.
